As president of Your Tax Matters LLC, Sumiko, an Enrolled Agent with Internal Revenue Service, has more than 25 years of experience with taxes and accounting business. She enjoys solving complex tax problems and helping her clients with tax planning. Sumiko, originally from Japan, has a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology in Japan and a Master’s of Science in Mathematics from Texas Tech University. After graduation, Sumiko worked as a software engineer for Texas Instruments, Atari, and ITT Courier. She also worked as a Japanese interpreter/translator for numerous businesses and taught Japanese at Arizona Gakuen School. Sumiko started her tax career at H&R Block and later opened her own tax business in Mesa, AZ. Her additional accreditations include Accredited Retirement Advisor (ARA), Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP), and Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA) from ACAT, and she holds Life and Health Insurance Producer license from the state of Arizona. She is very active with Arizona Society of Practicing Accountants, serving as a state and the East Valley chapter board member.  She is also a member of National Society of Accountants and Arizona Small Business Association. She is married to Mark Glenn, Glenn Software Consulting Inc., with two grown daughters.
